How do we create the best learning experience?
We create the best learning experience through blended training programmes that seamlessly connect training days, workplace learning and online learning. For this, we developed the Influence Hub® a few years ago. We also work with tablets in the classroom and continuously develop new learning tools.
The Influence Hub®
This unique digital learning platform is the common thread throughout all our training programmes. Why is it so useful?
- There is one central place for all the information you need for your training: easy, efficient and clear;
- You use an always-on learning method that meets the latest standards in blended learning and the 70-20-10 learning approach;
- You always have insight into your progress and performance;
- It is easy to involve your colleagues and manager in your learning process: all information is in one place and accessible from any device;
- You start your personal development long before your first training day.
- With the iPads, you enter your own notes directly into the Hub® during the training. Useful for later, because your full personal story is stored in your Hub®. Apart from a Moleskine notebook, these training days are therefore completely paperless.
Our learning tools: learning before, during and after the training days
We have developed a number of blended learning tools that allow you to keep learning as much as possible outside the face-to-face training days: before, during and after the training days. In the Hub®, you will find short tasks that help you keep working with your new skills.
Below, you will find a full overview of our unique learning tools:
The ISQ and ISI
To provide insight into the extent to which you apply the different influence styles, you receive one of our own 360° feedback instruments: the Influence Style Questionnaire (ISQ) or the Influence Style Inventory (ISI). These were developed from and are directly linked to the unique Influence Model®.
You score your own influence styles and also send the questionnaire to others, such as your colleagues, manager, employees, family or friends. We call these people Influence Supporters. The results are shown in an interactive graph and provide insight into which influencing behaviours you use more or less, both according to yourself and, even more interestingly, according to your Influence Supporters. If there are enough participants from one company, we can conduct a company-wide analysis and draw useful cultural insights from it.
The ISQ scores your influence styles based on 72 questions, while the ISI does this based on 30 questions.
Coding module
In this game, you watch video clips and are then asked what exactly you have seen. Immediately after your answer, you receive feedback. Why was the answer right or wrong? This helps you quickly and accurately recognise the influencing behaviour of others, so you can flexibly adapt your own influencing behaviour to it.
Style Guide and CIS preparation
In the Influence Hub®, you can make notes about specific work situations that you find difficult. We call these situations a CIS: Critical Influence Situation. The module also asks a number of questions, helping you define the situation as clearly as possible and think about how best to approach the challenge.
The Style Guide helps you, as a participant, decide which influence style you can best use in a specific situation. After answering several statements, where you indicate which statement best fits you and the situation, you receive advice on which influence style you can apply.
The 28-day programme
The 28-day programme, a fixed part of the overall training programme, provides focus and encourages you to apply your newly learned influencing skills in practice. For 28 days, you focus on one specific type of behaviour and set a personal intention through the Hub®. By applying the learned skills in small steps in practice, you clearly experience the effect.
Practising for 28 days does require discipline and perseverance, so we help keep you focused. Every week, you receive videos and reflection exercises related to one of the four styles. We advise you to record something every day. What is already going well? What positive feedback are you receiving from others? What is the effect or result for you? Are there aspects you still find difficult to apply?
After the first 28-day programme, you can choose to take the next step yourself and start working on a new type of behaviour. You increasingly take control of your own learning process and then reflect on your progress: which actions truly have an impact in practice?
720° feedback & Personal Performance
A few weeks after the final training day, you invite the Influence Supporters who completed the 360° feedback for you at the start of the programme to answer one question again: “Have I become more influential?” This is a form of social learning that encourages you to keep going in the right direction or to take it up a level.
In the Hub®, you reflect on your personal learning goals and revisit the takeaways from the training days. You will also find the development of the three influence scores that you give yourself throughout the programme. Together with the score you receive from your Influence Supporters, this gives you valuable insights and food for thought about your learning process and what comes next.
Buddy system
Continuous feedback plays an important role throughout the programme. We support this, among other things, by setting up a buddy system. You link up with another participant and agree to stay in contact outside the training days about applying the newly learned influencing skills. As buddies, you reflect on videos you make of conversations, exchange experiences and tips, and continue to inspire and motivate each other.
You find your buddy during the training programme and then make arrangements together.
