Structure Positive Power & Influence® Programme | 3-day course
The Positive Power & Influence® Programme is a blended training programme, designed to enable you to work on your influencing skills in a very intensive way. As the director of your own learning outcomes, you define your own learning objectives, the content of your personal programme and how far you want to step outside your comfort zone to achieve the result you are looking for. This is what the training looks like:
Pre-work: Personal intake & Influence Style Questionnaire
One month before training, you’ll receive an invitation to activate your profile in the Influence Hub®, our online learning platform. There, you’ll complete your Personal Intake to define your learning objectives and the Influence Style Questionnaire, a 360-degree assessment of your influencing approach. In addition we ask you to invite (max 7) supporters from work and personal life to provide feedback as well.
Day 1: Introductions & The Influence Model®
On day 1 you will get to know the group, the trainer(s), the programme, and The Influence Model®. You will start with an assessment exercise, in which you deploy and discuss your preferred influence behaviour. Afterwards, you set up specific learning objectives for yourself. This is followed by a theoretical deep dive focusing on two of the four Influence Model® styles. You learn to use those styles effectively through short role plays and exercises.
Day 2: The Influence Model® & practical exercises
You continue with the deep dive and exploration exercises of the remaining two styles of the Influence Model®. Next up is putting together a set of exercises that are relevant to you. This could include one-to-one discussions, meeting exercises or group exercises. You will then actively tackle these exercises designed to help you achieve your learning objectives.
Day 3: Your own programme
On the final day, you’ll focus on your Critical Influence Situation (CIS)—a real-world influence challenge relevant to your work. This exercise helps you apply what you’ve learned and provides a practical foothold for future situations. You’ll also explore strategies to sustain your insights and newly trained behaviours before concluding the three-day training.
Support tools: the 28-day programme
As you return to your daily work, you’ll actively apply your learning objectives and personal exercises from the training. You’ll discuss progress and feedback with your training buddy and use the Influence Hub® for evaluation and job aids. It’s up to you to integrate your new skills into everyday practice!
