Structure of the Cross Cultural Communication Programme | 2 day course
Pre-work: Personal intake
One month prior to the training, you’ll receive an invitation to activate your profile on the Influence Hub®, our online learning platform. There, you’ll complete your Personal Intake, defining your learning objectives, sharing insights into the cultural challenges you face, and providing information about your cultural background.
Day 1: Cultural Assessment & the Cross-Cultural Communication Framework
On Day 1, you will meet the group, trainers, and the programme. You’ll begin with a cultural assessment exercise, where you reflect on your natural communication style and how it may be perceived by others from different cultural backgrounds. This is followed by an introduction to key cross-cultural communication frameworks, such as high-context vs. low-context cultures. You will set specific learning objectives and gain a deeper understanding of how cultural differences impact communication styles. The day concludes with practical exercises and role plays designed to help you adapt and improve your communication strategies across cultures.
Day 2: Conflict Resolution & Practice in the “Cultural Communication Simulator”
On Day 2, you’ll dive into conflict resolution strategies, learning to identify and address misunderstandings that arise from cultural differences. Using your new insights, you will practice applying culturally sensitive communication techniques in the “Cultural Communication Simulator.” Through exercises, role plays, and real-life cases, you will experiment with various communication approaches and adjust your style to meet the cultural preferences of your counterparts. By the end of the day, you will gain firsthand experience in enhancing collaboration, resolving cultural conflicts, and ensuring effective communication across diverse environments.
